OUR STORY

Tironui is a family-run garden and farm wedding venue in the hills of Hamurana, 15 minutes drive from Rotorua.

The name means "a great view" - and once you've stood in the gardens looking out over the lake, you'll understand why.

How it began…

For years it was simply home for myself (Rebecca) and my husband: South Devon cattle, paddocks, and a view over Lake Rotorua that we never stopped noticing. A working farm and our daughters' stables - one of them a keen show jumper.

The name was first given to our South Devon herd, the Tironui South Devons - and we liked it too much to let it go.

When our daughters married here under marquees, their guests kept saying the same thing: what a setting. That stuck. We decided to lean into what makes this place special - and share it. So we converted the old stables into a reception barn, shaped the gardens, and opened the gate to other couples.

The people behind it

Rebecca

Rebecca owns Tironui. She had the vision, shaped the story, and is the hand behind the gardens - the established, ever-evolving planting that gives each ceremony spot its own character.

Johnelle

Johnelle is your Venue Manager and the person you'll deal with from first enquiry to last dance. She's also a licensed celebrant and can MC your day, so if you'd like that guidance, it's already here. Mostly, she's here to make the whole thing feel easy.

Come and feel it for yourself.
